CHILD & INFANT VACCINATION
Immunisation Schedule
The HSE will remind you when to bring your children for immunisation.
In Ireland, all the recommended childhood immunisations listed in the timetable are free of charge.
Mizen Medical Practice has an infant and child vaccination clinic once a month. Please ring 028 28311 to book your child in.
If your child has a cold or is unwell, it is best to wait until there is an improvement before vaccinating.
You can always arrange an alternative appointment with the receptionist for a later date. Your doctor will advise of the effects of the vaccine on your child.
Most of these vaccines can be given at any age, and a child who misses one injection in a course of injections does not have to start again.
The vaccines already given will still work and your child will still develop protection.
Just ask your doctor.
